In a fast changing world if we are going to help our clients and ourselves succeed we need to be constantly vigilant to changes in the marketplace and as such our sustainability strategy for ourselves and for our clients will continue to evolve and grow.
We have made sustainability a long-term
strategic business priority. The reason is simple. We are a future
focussed company with a purpose of improving lives through building
wealth and protecting assets. Sustainability is about ensuring that
our business is innovative, competitive, and profitable in a world
that is facing major environmental and social changes. And then
helping our clients to do the same.
Listed below are just a few sustainability initiatives we have
been working on within Hayes Knight, or read our 2011 Hayes Knight Sustainability Report.
- Developed a longer term sustainability strategy for Hayes
Knight.
- Identified the role we can play as advisers to advance
sustainability and influence our clients towards systemic and
transformational change.
- The creation of Sustainable Advantage, a wholly owned
subsidiary, that provides sustainability consultancy services to
our clients.
- Creation of an in-house 'Sustainability Council' to champion
sustainability initiatives like our energy, waste and transport
projects to embed sustainability throughout the business.
- Moved into a new green-star rated building - which houses our
Audit team.
- Investing in staff engagement initiatives and staff wellbeing
initiatives.
- Investing in the community through sponsorship and staff
time.
- Conducted the "Matter of Trust" Research and sustainability
priorities monitor.
We see our role as far larger than what we alone can change. By
advising our clients to think and act in a sustainable manner we
not only help them with their own sustainability strategies; we
help them to stay in business longer. That's why we have
created Sustainable Advantage, a new consulting division, it
provides services in the areas of sustainability, corporate
responsibility, research and communications.
