Apply online
To apply for a position with Hayes Knight you will need to
follow the steps in the online application process. Attach your CV,
which should highlight your skills and experience, and a covering
letter which explains why you believe your skills meet the
requirements of the position and the company we are.
When you have successfully submitted an application, you will
receive an automated reply confirming that we have received your
application. If you do not receive this email, it means that there
have been problems with your online application and you will need
to re-submit your application.
Shortlisting
Applications are considered against the knowledge, skills,
experience, competencies and other requirements of the job. If we
think you have the skills and experience we're looking for, we'll
give you a call for a brief telephone interview. From there we'll
consider you against all other applicants, including any internal
applications and a short list of candidates will be selected.
All non-shortlisted applicants will be advised by email that
their application has been unsuccessful.
Interviewing
If you are short listed for a position we will be in touch with
you to arrange a first interview. The hiring Manager or Client
Services Director or both will conduct first interviews.
A further shortlist will be made on the completion of first
interviews and unsuccessful candidates will be contacted directly
and advised of this.
Second interviews will then be conducted by a Manager, Client
Services Director or both and may also include a team member. We
believe two interviews are necessary as this not only allows Hayes
Knight to get to know you better but also allows you to get to know
us.
During the interview stages you will be required to
complete an online Extended Disc Profile. This profiles your
natural working style and, while never used as the sole basis for a
hiring decision, does assist us with this process.
You may also be required to complete an online reasoning test
and/or a written accountancy test.
Employment Screening
If you're short-listed for a position, you'll be required to
provide at least two work related referees for us to contact.
These referees should be people you have reported to in prior
positions. If this is not possible they must at least be people who
have a working knowledge of your abilities and experience. This
allows us to gain some understanding of how you have performed in
previous positions and to further assess your suitability for the
position that you've applied for.
Being made an offer
If you are successful in becoming the preferred candidate, you
will be made a verbal offer. If this is accepted you will then be
given a written offer of appointment and an employment agreement
which you can review and take the opportunity to seek independent
feedback on. You will also be provided with an employment pack
including a team handbook for your reference.
