This Christmas Auckland Chartered Accountancy firm Hayes Knight did something very special for their team. Unknown to them, Hayes Knight’s 13 Directors decided to give something back to the team through a novel and innovative idea.

On Wednesday 14th December at 3.30pm each of Hayes Knight's 112 team members received $250 to treat themselves this Christmas. The only catch was that they have just 90 minutes to run into Newmarket to spend the money; anything not spent was donated to charity.

"As well as a gesture to our valued team members to reward them for their hard work and loyalty, the giveaway allows us to also support fellow Newmarket businesses this Christmas - with $28,000 being injected into the community in 90mins," says Hayes Knight CEO Matthew Bellingham.

Hayes Knight has been working secretly with the Newmarket Business Association's Donna Corbel to engage and involve Newmarket's retailers. "This is a fantastic initiative that not only recognises their team's excellence, but also gives a cash injection to Newmarket's businesses for the festive season," says Newmarket Business Association Marketing Manager Donna Corbel.

Hayes Knight's Directors chose to give back to their team this Christmas to thank them for their loyalty and hardwork.
