Hayes Knight Audit achieves registered status
By Hayes Knight - 2 July 2012
Due to our size, specialist skill, and experience Hayes Knight are delighted to announce that our Audit Directors, Craig Fisher, Colin Henderson, and Lee Anderson have all successfully been accredited as licenced auditors and our specialist audit partnership Hayes Knight Audit NZ has achieved registered status.

On the 1 July the Auditor Regulation Act 2011 came in to
effect.
All auditors and audit firms that perform audits of
financial statements of issuers are now required to
comply with this Act. An issuer is primarily defined
as an entity that issues debt or equity securities to the general
public.
All individuals in New Zealand responsible for signing off audit
opinions on issuer financial statements now need to hold a
licence. In addition, audit firms that perform
issuer audits must be
registered and must ensure for each issuer audit that the
engagement partner holds a licence and an individual who carries
out the quality control review of key decisions and judgements also
holds a licence.
Hayes Knight remain committed to providing high quality assurance
services to our clients and working to raise the bar of
auditing standards in New Zealand.
