This intensive half day one-on-one training session will not only boost your financial management capability, but also improve your business planning by allowing you to make better more informed decisions. This service has qualified for the NZTE Capability Development Voucher Scheme, and is eligible for voucher redemption.

Learning outcomes 

  • Receive training on how business finance works and how individual transactions affect key finance reports - Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. Plus how they fit together to capture everything that happens in your business in dollar terms.
  • Identify and understand the main drivers of profits and cash in your business, plus how this impacts on business planning.
  • Determine the financial implications of any potential future changes to your business.
  • Implement strategies that should be employed right now to make a real difference to your profits.
  • Develop and implement a performance measurement report to successfully monitor how your business is performing.
  • Learn how to accurately monitor and review business performance, identify issues, understand the implications and how these impact decision making.  

Investment without subsidy: $975 + GST for half day one-on-one training session. 
Investment with subsidy: As low as $487 + GST

Funding available for businesses

This one-on-one training session has qualified for the NZTE Capability Development Voucher Scheme, and is eligible for voucher redemption. The Voucher Scheme is designed to support up to 50 percent of the cost of this service.

To be eligible for funding your business must:

  • have fewer than 50 full time employees
  • be operating in a commercial environment
  • be registered for GST in New Zealand,
  • be privately owned, or a Maori Trust or incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 or similar organisation managing Maori assets under multiple ownership,
  • demonstrate a desire to innovate and grow, and
  • have undergone an assessment with NZTE's regional business partner.
