These 10 year plans still seem to be causing a few schools issues. The key matter we observed is that plans are not being updated on an annual basis and hence not accurately reflecting the school’s cyclical maintenance obligation which must be recognised in their annual financial statements. This issue resulted in the greatest number of financial adjustments to draft financial statements as part of our 2008 audits.
