Unfortunately, like other NZ organisations, and especially not-for-profits, schools are potentially exposed to a wide range of fraud. In our experience incidence of fraud is often greater in not-for-profit entities than in commercial entities. Studies have shown that internal controls are generally the most efficient method of detecting fraud.
