Jacko Gill Sponsorship
Hayes Knight has entered into a four-year partnership with North Shore track & field Olympian, Jacko Gill, heralded as the most talented junior shot putter ever. Jacko holds multiple age group world records. He is the youngest ever male world junior champion, winning the World Junior (U20) title in 2010 aged just 15. Jacko went on to defend that title in 2012, aged 17, and was the youngest competitor in the top eight at the 2015 World Championships by nearly three years, aged just 20. Jacko then began his Olympic journey at just 21 with a ninth place at the Rio Olympic Games. By providing funding and accounting support to Jacko, we hope to go a small way to making Jacko’s journey to future success that much easier. Jacko’s sponsorship is an extension to the support we provide to High Performance Sport New Zealand athlete’s as a partner in the Athlete Friendly Network.
