In the wake of the recent aftershocks our thoughts continue to be with the brave people of Christchurch.

Has your fundraising been affected by the Christchurch earthquakes? What has been the impact on donor behaviour and charity decision-making?

As audit and accounting advisers to many not-for-profit entities we have seen first-hand the disruption caused by the Christchurch earthquakes on our client base. One growing area of concern is how the earthquakes will impact traditional fundraising.

With the disruption far from over; many not-for-profit organisations are trying to get a handle on what impact the earthquakes will have on the foreseeable future. While we don’t have a crystal ball we are fortunate enough to have been provided with the following study put together by our friends at xponential philanthropy. We hope the insights in this paper assist your not-for-profit organisations.
