Collaboration between NFP entities has been a growing trend in recent years. It also makes a lot of pragmatic sense given the small entity size of many NFPs in New Zealand. However identifying and exploring collaboration opportunities can take effort and resources. Thankfully some of our more innovative philanthropic bodies have recognized this challenge and created a fund to assist.

The Working Together More Fund (WTMF) helps groups wanting to work together to achieve greater results for the communities they serve. Working together more can achieve great things such as serving higher numbers with a better quality of service – or a more accessible one. NFPs considering a collaborative project, merging or working with others to improve services are invited to download the brochure or visit workingtogether.org.nz for fund criteria and some case studies. ¬†This year’s funding rounds close on 12 July 2013 and 1 November 2013.
